Annotazioni su Vermeer - Notes on Vermeer

• the shifting of the reality and the construction "thinking": the "painting framing". A small shift of the elements which form the painting and a mystery is born.
• The presence of a sound which is at the same time tied and untied to its source. A sound that is conscious and unconscious at the same time: a shift.
• contrast of energies, gestures, spectra and places, without design: the sonic 'chiaroscuro'.
• the manifestation of sound objects to consciousness. "in front of painting, we know the visible part of what they show, without the need to understand the object (as such) that is under our sight" (Arasse)

(Arasse)
